Bell Systems Warning bells are an integral part a vehicle’s operation. UKM manufactures a line of bell assemblies and systems that provide customers with the auditory warning mechanisms they require. These Bell Assemblies are handcrafted from cast iron or brass. We stock standard locomotive bells for immediate delivery with optional pneumatic ringers and chimes. Custom designed systems can be developed for new locomotive or commuter car construction. Display bells are also available in hand polished brass to commemorate a retirement or for a special gift. Each bell is mounted on a cast aluminum base complete with ringer, yoke setting and handle.

Track Receivers Utilized for signal pick-up in high density traffic areas, UKM carbody mounted track receivers are manufactured from the highest grade electrical materials and mounted to quality cast clamps and brackets, then packaged for easy installations. Laminated cores are checked for induced voltage from the rail after the mounting of the heavy duty coil. Custom designed assemblies are also available for original equipment manufacturers or to replace existing systems.

Uncoupling Levers These steel and chromated parts require little maintenance and are easy to install. Ideal for accident repairs or for major rebuilding programs, UKM stocks uncoupling levers, bails, stanchions, clevises and brackets for EMD or GE motive power equipment. In addition, our team of experienced engineers can produce highly specialized items such as replacement collision posts, side sheets, end sills, door frames, window channeling, doubles and grab irons from stocked materials.
