UKM Adds New Manufacturing Capabilities
(Kulpsville, Pa) UKM announced today the
acquisition of a new Carolina-Virginia wet/dry particulate spray
booth. This innovative, first of a kind enclosure increases UKM's
existing painting capacity and doubles as a safe, quiet, environment
for applying the latest in thermal spray coatings. To compliment
the new spray booth a new
Praxair/TAFA arc spray system has been obtained to apply
the the latest in slip and corrosion resistant materials to car
door thresholds, ADA ramps, ladder assemblies, anti-climbers,
vestibule components, and exterior roof top walkway surfaces.
In addition, UKM 's machine shop has acquired
a new Mazak VTC-250 vertical machining center with a Mazatrol
PC Fusion 640M Conversational CNC control and Kitagawa rotary
table. Mazak's VTC series of machine tools have a fixed table
and traveling column which provide a wide machining area, with
minimum tool interference, fast tool changes and high speed positioning.
Finally, the company has added a new Daewoo Puma 400B
CNC turning center to compliment its existing array of turning
capabilities.
